About LOPA
As the organ procurement organization for Louisiana, we help save lives, restore health and enhance medical care through organ and tissue donation. We are a non-profit that services our state’s diverse community by supporting families through tragic loss, during the donation process, and along their grief journey. Our team is passionate about sharing the impact of donation and educating professionals and the community. We are adding to that Team!
We are committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion because we believe all voices deserve to be heard. Our dedication to serving our diverse community starts internally. To give our best externally, we must value our differences and take the time to educate ourselves.
Equity, diversity, and inclusion are fundamental to our core values.
By encouraging the contributions of others, valuing their unique experiences and perspectives, and striving for equitable treatment - you are selfless.
By sharing your own unique experiences and perspectives - you are authentic.
By devoting yourself in commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion - you are passionate.
Equity, diversity, and inclusion are vital to our success, enabling innovation by empowering our people and strengthening our relationships.
Together, we are MAKING LIFE HAPPEN.
Equity
We are committed to actively challenging and responding to all sources of bias, harassment, and discrimination. We are committed to a policy of equal employment and advancement opportunities based on merit, qualifications, abilities, and overall suitability.
Diversity
We are committed to fostering diversity in all manners. We believe diversity is more than the boxes you check on a form - diversity is found in our individual experiences and differing perspectives. We believe diversity includes all that makes you uniquely you - from who you are on paper, to who you are inside.
Inclusion
We are committed to the deliberate pursuit of an environment where individual differences are welcomed, where different perspectives are actively encouraged and respectfully heard, and where everybody feels a sense of belonging. We believe that a vibrant climate of inclusiveness effectively leverages the resources of diversity to advance our collective capabilities.
